About Me

Hello and welcome to my new blog!

My name is Ellen-Scarlett and I currently work as Chapel & Collections Officer at Clumber Park, National Trust.

I have been working in the Heritage Industry for about five years now and every years had brought a host of new experiences, excitement and challenges. My new role at Clumber is no exception and I look forward to telling you all about it!

I also run viewfrommyattic.wordpress.com where I blogged about my internship with the National Trust at Powis Castle and working with them at Hardwick Hall for the last few years. Pop over there to see how I got where I am today.

As well as blogging about my work for the Trust I shall also be blogging about things in my personal life, like visiting heritage sites, family holidays, days out and my hobby.

During the summer months you will often find me camped out in a field pretending to be a medieval person. I am part of a re-enactment society called the Swords of Mercia and we have a huge amount of fun travelling the country and hitting each other with swords! Check out our website for more info.

Please follow, feel free to comment and I hope you enjoy reading my blog!

Bye for now!
